READFIELD – Maine-based singer and saxophonist Pat Pepin has released her second recording, “Blue Stories,” with five of the 13 tracks written by her. “I sing in many different styles, but always from a woman’s perspective,” Pepin said. “But maybe because I’ve lived through hard times in my own life, it’s the blues that really speaks to me.”

“Blue Stories” features “Something ‘Bout Traveling,” “I’d Rather Go Blind” and “Fat Baxter” and “Year of the Blues,” both written by Pepin.
