LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met March 28 at Murray Hall with 32 members present. Prior to the meeting, a meal from SeniorsPlus was served that included baked ham, whipped potatoes, green beans, roll and a brownie.

Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the armed forces. Mary Groleau led the group as they sang “Faith of Our Fathers.”

It was noted that Dora Slovak is on the group’s sick list and that Lorraine Ellingwood had fallen and broken her shoulder.

It was also noted that Dr. Francis Pakulski had died, as had Beverly McDonald.

Couture told the group that Don Spear was scheduled to perform for them sometime in April but it will depend on the outcome of a medical procedure he will undergo before then.

Next week the group will hold their monthly beano game and there will be a sign-up for the SeniorsPlus meal at the end of April.

Members having birthdays in March were remembered. They include Elvina Miller, Evette Chretien, Margaret Cloutier, Norman Duguay, Doris Wilson, Claudette Morin, Lorraine Cote, Carmen Moreau and Margaret Richardson.

The 50-50 was won by Pauline Duguay. The meeting was adjourned and games of cards were played.
