DENVER – Freda Pettingill Trachtenberg, 87, of Denver, Colo., Arizona, North Carolina and Maine, passed away on March 19, at the Joy of Living Assisted Living Care Center.

She was born in Jay, on July 25, 1917.

She is survived by sons, Jerome, and Joseph and wife, Kay Trachtenberg; daughter, Judy Grange and husband, Gary; sister, Beryl Hennessey; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel; and former husband, Dr. William Trachtenberg, of Goldsboro, N.C. Her family is grateful for her long and fulfilling life and wishes to thank all her loving caregivers.
