LEWISTON – Maurice Therrien, 66, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, April 2, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born on April 24, 1938, in Lewiston, the son of Wilfred Therrien and Adrienne Levesque Therrien. He attended Lewiston schools and worked for Maine Electronics and the Lewiston School Department at the Middle School, before his retirement in 2000. After retiring, he continued to work part-time at Lee Auto Mall as a courier.

On June 8, 1963, he married his wife of 41 years, Jacqueline Chretien Therrien. He was a 4th degree Knight at Council 106, East Avenue and loved to attend the dances hosted by the Knights of Columbus, dancing the night away with his beloved wife, Jackie. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his passion to always lend a helping hand. He was an avid fisherman, reader and loved to spend time with his granddaughter, Ariana.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; three children, Jeannine and Charles Davis of Virginia, Sharon and John Vallee of Lewiston and Gerald and Maria Therrien of Auburn; a sister, Monique Gayton of Lisbon; three brothers, Adrien and Pauline Therrien of Florida, Laurier and Diane Therrien of Lewiston and Marc and Janet Therrien of New Hampshire; one grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
