Lewiston – Paul H. Andersen has been promoted to the new position of senior credit officer at Androscoggin Bank, 30 Lisbon St.

His overall responsibilities will expand beyond managing the commercial lending department as he works closely with president and Chief Executive Officer Steven A. Closson to implement the bank’s strategic plan.

Andersen has more than 20 years of experience working with business customers, with the last 17 at Androscoggin Bank as a commercial lender and department manager. Prior to joining Androscoggin Bank, he served as a loan review officer at Maine National Bank, ultimately rising to become the department’s supervisor.

Andersen graduated from the National Graduate School of Banking, at Fairfield University, Fairfield, Conn., and graduate studies at the University of Bridgeport School Management and RMA/Omega courses. He has a bachelor of science degree in management awarded by the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
