FARMINGTON – William H. Robinson, 59, a resident of Church Street, Jay, died Thursday, April 7, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 2, 1945, in Rumford, the son of Joseph W. and Clara McCloud Robinson and attended Dixfield schools.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart medal and a Bronze Star.

He is survived by his mother of Spring Hill, Fla.; four sons and their wives, William and Teri Robinson of Wales, Joseph W. Robinson of Yarmouth, Daniel and Jessica Robinson of Canton and Thomas and Brandy Robinson of Jay; three daughters, Kelly Groover and her husband, Joe, of Georgia, Brianna Thompson of Lewiston and Amanda Ligouri and her husband, Joe, of Litchfield; three brothers, Gerald Robinson of East Dixfield, Brian Hiscock and his wife, Sharon, of East Dixfield and Timothy Hiscock of East Dixfield; a sister, Pamela Lee and her husband, Jay, of Livermore Falls; and six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by twin sons, Dwight and Dwayne.
