RUMFORD – Yvonne D. Jacques, 86, of Swift River Road, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 7, at her residence.

She was born in Jackman, on April 17, 1918, a daughter of Joseph and Clara (Giroux) Fontaine and was educated in Jackman schools.

Yvonne was a communicant of St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church.

She enjoyed gardening and tending to her raspberry bushes. She also enjoyed quilting, rug braiding, basket making, painting and wallpapering.

She is survived by three sons, Roland A. Jacques of Zephyrhills, Fla., Robert A. Jacques of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Richard N. Jacques and wife, Sharon, of Gorham; two daughters, Pauline L. Sargent and husband, Clayton, of Rumford, and Jacqueline J. Cote of Rumford; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene H. Jacques on July 13, 1995; two sisters; three brothers; and a granddaughter.
