LEWISTON – April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and Advocates for Children is planning special events during the week of April vacation.

The organization will have a reserved area at the 2 p.m. Kora Shrine Circus show on Tuesday, April 19. Families will also visit with the Kora Shrine elephant act. Discounted tickets are available at AFC, $2/child and $4/adult. Call 783-3990 to register. The agency will have a limited number of free children’s admission tickets on a first-come basis.

Marcus Gale will perform “So Glad!” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 20. Families are invited to join the agency for an inside Spring Fever Picnic prior to the event at 5:15. To register for the show and picnic, call 783-3990.

Families can join the agency and Flagship Cinemas of Lewiston for a free showing of a kids’ movie on Thursday, April 21. Everyone will leave Advocates for Children at 9:15 for the 9:30 a.m. movie. Registration is required by calling 783-3990.

Children can learn the story of the Peace Rock and make one to bring home at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, at the Parent Resource Center on Birch Street.
