WINTHROP – Stan Davis, a well-known expert on bullying prevention, will speak on ways to cultivate schools to make bullying less likely at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the Winthrop Congregational Church, Main Street.

Guidance counselors from schools in the Augusta region have been invited to attend. The presentation will be followed by a time for questions and answers.

Tom Sturtevant of Winthrop Area People for Peace will also present a copy of Davis’ book to guidance counselors in the Augusta region.

Davis lives in Wayne and is a part-time guidance counselor at the Bean School in Sidney. He also travels around the country, working with faculty at many schools. He has recently written his first book, “Schools Where Everyone Belongs: Practical Strategies to Reduce Bullying.”
