TURNER – Florence A. Ireland, 74, of Howes Corner Road, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 9, after injuries received in an auto accident.

She was born in Livermore, June 9, 1930, the daughter of Elwin and Verna Cressey Norris. She was educated in local schools, worked for a time for Livermore Shoe Company and after that, focused her time on her family.

She was married in June of 1970 to Howard W. Ireland Sr., who predeceased her in June of 1983. She was young at heart, full of life and always happy and optimistic. She still maintained her own home and grounds for more than 22 years and enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling and spending time with her many friends.

She is survived by four daughters, Rachel J. Sylvester of Lewiston, Joanne F. Mangum and her husband, Robert, of Plano, Texas, Brenda J. Pierce of Sabattus and Donna L. Wallace and her husband, William, of Middletown, Del. and Minot; 10 grandchildren, Derek Brown and his wife, Bobbi Jo, Kristi Perkins and her husband, Stephen, Jason, Joseph and Gina Sylvester, Jasmine, Cheryl and Joseph H. Dean and Lyndsay and Selena Wallace; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marion Herrin and her husband, Kenneth, of Leeds and Ella Wilkins and her husband, Thurlow, of Livermore; four brothers, Carroll Norris and Beverly of Minot, Russell Norris and his wife, Jean, of Jay, William Norris of Livermore and Ralph Norris of Leeds; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Stanhope and Hilda Whittemore.
