AUBURN – The Good Shepherd Food-Bank recently hosted an appreciation banquet to recognize the top 75 volunteers for 2004.

Approximately 400 volunteers help at the food bank each week. They help inspect and sort food, clean and maintain the building, help with mailings and other projects. In 2004, more than 65,000 hours were given in volunteer service to the organization.

“They are our greatest donors,” said JoAn Chartier, public relations/education coordinator, “We simply could not do the work we do without the help of our dependable volunteers. They are priceless to us – giving of their service, their time and their lives day after day.”
