RUMFORD – Kathleen Loretta Plante, 82, of Hancock Street, died Monday, April 11, at the Rumford Community Hospital, where she had been since January.
She was born in Waterville on June 12, 1922, a daughter of Al and Bessey (Pare) Malick, and was educated in Rumford schools.
She was employed in food service at Dan’s Pizza for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church, and a member of the Eagles Auxillary.
She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, the Red Sox, playing cards and pets, especially her cat “Pepper” who she was very fond of.
She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Perry and husband, William, of Kennebunk, Dottie Arsenault and husband, Dennis, of Rumford; two sons, Stephen Plante of Phoenix, Ariz., and Matthew Plante of Rumford; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Janice Plante and JoAnn Plante, both of Rumford.
She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Plante, and two sons, Thomas Plante Sr. and Louis Plante.
