LIVERMORE – Charity Rebekah Lodge of Livermore Falls will meet Wednesday, April 13, at the Ralph Wright Memorial Building, 284 Federal Road. It will be the annual official visitation of the Rebekah Assembly officer that some orders refer to as an inspection.

A 6 p.m. potluck supper will precede the 7:30 meeting. “Red Night” will be held in compliance with the president’s program, and all attending are requested to wear red. A special collection will be taken for the Heart Fund. Noble Grand Frances Berry is in charge of a varied informal program.

Ballots available

JAY – Absentee ballots are available at the Jay Town Office for the municipal election. Voting will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 25, at the Jay Community Building.

The Jay Town Office will be closed on Monday, April 18, in observance of Patriots’ Day.

Hair fund-raiser

FARMINGTON – April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and In-Town Hair Design will help raise funds in style with SAVES, Franklin County’s rape crisis center.

Yvonne Gagne and the employees of In-Town Hair Design will donate proceeds from all services, less the cost of supplies, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 14, to SAVES. In-Town Hair Design is located at 141 Pleasant St. and can be reached by calling 779-1157.

SAVES provides crisis intervention services to victims of sexual assault and through the Sexual Assault Response Team works with law enforcement and the court system on behalf of the victims. SAVES also provides school-based and community education programs to increase awareness about prevention of sexual violence.
