BETHEL – A team of Crescent Park School students competed at the Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament at Bates College on April 2, earning fifth-place.

The girls have been meeting since January, honing their creative problem-solving skills and perfecting their solution to a long-term problem called “Laugh-a-thon.”

The problem, which they chose from among five categories, required them to produce and perform an eight-minute play that included seven humorous features.

Five of the features were specified and two were team-created. Their performance, which dealt with the adventures of two characters named “Super Cow” and “Super Pig,” garnered laughs from the tournament audience and earned the team a fifth-place finish out of 14 teams in their division.
