AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will present Emotional Intelligence (CCS 053-01) from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 26. The cost is $75.

The program is designed to provide managers, supervisors and other organizational leaders with an opportunity to understand and explore the concept of emotional intelligence through examples of the inner courage and emotional intelligence of great leaders and by examining their own leadership styles.

“Participants will gain insight to their inner self, discovering that leadership is about personal integrity and self-knowledge more than techniques.” said Mike Haskell, executive coach and program facilitator. “This program will provide participants an opportunity for self-assessment and action planning so they can become outstanding leaders as well.”

Haskell is the founder of Adventure Quest-USA, LLC and offers executive coaching for business leaders who want to improve their leadership skills.

His background includes a 25-year career in surveying, engineering and real estate development, during which time he created three successful businesses that provided services to the real estate development markets throughout the northeast.

Haskell is the navigator and crew chief aboard S/V Beausoleil, an offshore racing sailboat, and an experienced Registered Maine Guide, frequently leading wilderness hiking and sea kayaking trips.
