LEWISTON – Cathleen “Fay” Cosgrove, 71, of 50 Allen Ave., Lewiston died Monday, April 17, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Sabattus, on May 4, 1933, the daughter of George and Mildred (Burgess) Dutille.
She was the widow of Michael Cosgrove, whom she married in 1968; he died in 1988. She raised her six children and also worked for many years at the former Zayres Department Store in Lewiston until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She enjoyed going to yard sales where she collected many antiques. She also enjoyed tole painting nice pictures. She was a loving woman who accepted many children in her neighborhood and provided them with treats. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Levesque and her husband, Raymond, of Auburn, and Kelly Keene and her husband, Timithy, of Lewiston; her three sons, Gary Shank of Lewiston, Timothy Shank and his wife, Cheryl, of Monmouth and Michael Shank and his wife, Linda, of Georgia; her grandchildren, Tracy Bussiere and her husband, Scott, of Minot, Ryan Levesque of Auburn, and Lori and Linnea Shank of California; her great-granddaughter, Brittany Wood of Auburn; her great-grandson, Raymond Weyland Jr.; four sisters, Pearl Knight of Nevada, Ruth White of Lewiston, Violet Longtin of Rhode Island and Marion Yerardi of Florida; her brother, Harold Dutille and his wife, Arlene, of Florida; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, James L Cosgrove who died in 1995; and by her brother, George Dutille; and her sister, Doris Lapierre.
