BETHESDA, Md. – Donald A. Paladino Jr., 41, of Bowling Green, Ky., passed from this world April 8, at the National Health Research Hospital, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was the son of the late Donald A. Paladino Sr. and Constance T. Nolan Paladino.

The Poland Spring native was a truck driver for T & L Truck Lines. A devoted husband and father, he earned the distinction of Kentucky colonel through his many volunteer efforts in the last two presidential campaigns, and church and civic organizations.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Nickerson Paladino; two sons, Christopher and Michael, both of Bowling Green, Ky.; two daughters, Tess and Alicia, both of Bowling Green, Ky.; four brothers, Gary and his wife, Pauline, of Oxford, Dennis and his wife, Joline, of Waterford, Ronald of Worcester, Mass., and Andrew and his wife, Christine, of Scarborough; one sister, Donna and her husband, Bert, of Greene; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and John.
