LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met April 4 at Murray Hall with 25 members present. Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members, the men and women in the armed forces and for Pope John Paul II.

Mary Groleau led the group in singing “Holy, Holy, Holy.” It was announced that Eugene Pomerleau has had knee surgery and is doing well. Welcomed back after being on the sick list were Athanase Couture, Dora Slovak and Irene Hebert. Emile Richards was also welcome back from vacation.

A card from Slovak was read that thanked the group for their best wishes and prayers during her illness. Sign-up for the monthly meal from SeniorsPlus began that day.

Shirley Couture noted that SeniorsPlus has several trips scheduled for the summer. One is called “Ritz n Rails” for $60 on May 24 and will include a visit to the Victoria Mansion; another is Windjammers Day on June 22 for $52; and on July 10 a trip to see “Menopause the Musical” for $69. More information may be obtained by calling 645-3315.

The 50-50 was won by Mary Potter. The meeting was adjourned and the group held the monthly beano game.
