Dear Sun Spots: We are a group of seventh grade students at Auburn Middle School. We have a service learning class, and chose to work with the Humane Society.

We have already made book marks, and are now going to make bandannas and dog toys. We need some felt material ( any color), as well as white or tan cloth materials, non-washable cloth markers for decorating these bandannas would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me at [email protected]. Thank You. – Katherine Harmon, Brooke Locke, Christine Bilodeau and Marie Plante, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: You do a wonderful job!

In a recent column you had a woman who wanted used greeting cards. Do you know if that person still wants them or know of anyone in your area who does want them? I have always sent to St. Jude, but they are really overloaded right now. Thank you. – F.C., Dixfield.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, send your used greeting cards to Linda Carpenter, 145 Howe St., Auburn, Maine 04210.

Dear Sun Spots: We recently conducted a bottle drive to benefit the Music Department at Edward Little High School during which bottles were taken to Dyna-Mac Redemption Center on Minot Avenue in Auburn. We have been unable to reach anyone there in regards to the remaining funds in our account. Is Dyna-Mac still in business? We would greatly appreciate any help Sun Spots can give us in locating a contact person. – Carole Hodgkin, secretary, Edward Little Music Association.

Answer: Sun Spots is not sure why you had this problem as she called the number and no problem in contacting owner Diane Drouin, who says they are open and are still in business. They are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday. She welcomes your call to (207) 795-0240. Drouin says her lease will be up the end of June and they are in the process of selling but are open and will remain open until the end of June, possibly longer. When Sun Spots last spoke with Drouin she was going to check her files and contact you about this. If you have not yet heard from her, Sun Spots would encourage you to conact her.
