LIVERMORE FALLS – Library staff and trustees are asking the public about Treat Memorial Library’s hours and services, and whether the hours need to be changed.
Trustee Lynn Knight said surveys are available in the library and at the town office for people to fill out.
The survey asks if people are satisfied with current hours of operation. Those are: 1 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays; and 2 to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
The library is closed Wednesdays, Sundays and legal holidays.
The survey asks when people are most apt to use the library. It also asks if people would find some days more convenient and if being open one morning per week would better suit their needs.
It also asks what library services people use: summer reading program; videos, CDs and DVDs; special children’s programs; interlibrary loan; computer and Internet access; and photocopier.
Trustees and staff members also want to know if people access the library’s collection online with online renewal, reserves and other services.
They also want to know if the library is providing materials, programs and services people need and want, and how the library could serve people better.
