I read a Sun Journal article April 9 and I am one Auburn resident who objects to the loss of spring cleanup week. I am sure that many other people think the same way.
Recently while walking, I saw a computer monitor dumped by the side of the road on Stetson Road. About a month ago, I saw a TV left on the side of River Road. My concern is that people have collected all kinds of stuff during the winter with the anticipation of getting rid of it during the cleanup.
People who pay taxes expect services. Not everyone has a truck to haul things to the dump. If that monitor and TV are any indication of what other people will do, our environment will be jeopardized.
The city owes it to taxpaying people to offer this service.
