RUMFORD – Visual and character comedian Randy Judkins will join a mix of other local performers for the Waite Family Benefit Day May 1 at Black Mountain.

Judkins will perform at 2 p.m. as part of the 12-4 Family Fun Time.

The program will open with the Off and Running Band, then Charlie Who and Jimmy Gallant.

Wing Nuts will perform from 4 to 5 p.m., as the auction is prepared. There will be games, face-painting, food sales, a moon walk and a large Chinese auction.

Admission is free to the grounds and for all performances.

Adult Time for the day will begin with the auction at 5 p.m. It will include such items as a heart-shaped tourmaline necklace, a fireplace and season passes. Auction paddles will be on sale from 4 to 5 p.m.

After the auction a dance will be held with music provided by E&I Band. Tickets are $5 and on sale now at Bartash’s and Hannaford.

Any community members who would like to volunteer time during the day to help out with the many events should call Denise Richard at 562-8613. Private donations may be made directly to The Waite Family Fund at the Oxford Federal Credit Union.

All proceeds will benefit the Waite Family Fund to help pay medical expenses. Greg Waite is a area educator, coach and community activist. He has taught school for 27 years, coaches soccer, skiing and softball for many youth. He is a member of the ski patrol at Black Mountain. He also serves on the GRCC and Black Mountain Board of Directors. He has made a difference in many children’s lives in the area through his many activities. Donations may also be made at Oxford Federal Credit Union to the Greg Waite Benefit.
