AUBURN – Eldon L. “Dud” Holbrook, 70, died in his sleep Wednesday morning, April 20, at his home in Auburn.
He was born in Lewiston, May 23, 1934, the son of Howard H. Holbrook and Mildred E. (Verrill) Sawyer. He lived his entire life in Auburn and worked many years for Jim Bryant and the town of Minot.
Every spring, he liked to fish in the village of North Auburn, but most of all he loved to meet and talk with people.
He is survived by three daughters, Bonnie and Betty Bartlett, and Susan Jackson and her husband, Patrick; two sons, Richard Holbrook and Sean Bartlett and his wife, Christina; two stepsons, David and Charles Bartlett and his wife, Joanne; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife of 25 years, Joyce M. Holbrook, and daughter, Pamela Holbrook.
