FARMINGTON – Kenneth Robert Rand, 68, of Wilton, died shortly after arrival at the emergency room of Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington, of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 17, 1936, in Skowhegan, a son of Joseph and Sadie (Pratt) Rand. He received his education in Stratton and Wilton schools.

On June 17, 1956, he married Jeanette Quirrion in Wilton.

For many years, he was employed at Wilton Flatwood Products and for 21 years was employed at Forster’s.

He enjoyed puttering in his yard, caring for his animals and haying. He was a quiet man who enjoyed his family and his home.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanette Q. Rand, of Wilton; a son, Denney and his wife, Cheryl Rand, of Wilton; a daughter, Penny Camfferman of Wilton; two brothers, Carl and his wife, Shirley Rand, of Augusta, and Ramon Rand of E. Hartford, Conn.; a sister, Beatrice Gerrish of Burlington, Vt.; and three grandchildren, Nicole Camfferman, J.R. Rand, and Brandi Rand.

He was predeceased by his parents.
