LEWISTON – Karyn M. Varney has been promoted to an assistant vice president in the Float Management Department at TD Banknorth Inc. in Lewiston. As a support analyst, she will continue to be responsible for providing analytical and programming support to the bank’s payment services division as well as documenting and coordinating projects that impact the item processing department.

Varney joined Banknorth in 1997 and has 15 years in banking. She previously served as an operations analyst with TD Banknorth, and as a manager and computer operations supervisor at another large banking company.

A Windham resident, Varney is a member of the Windham Chamber of Commerce. She is a 1994 graduate of the University of Southern Maine. A native of Kingfield, she is a 1987 graduate of Mount Abram High School.
