The junior’s at Lisbon High are proof that hard work pays off. The class of 2006 has come together this year and done several successful fundraisers with the car raffle being the most successful thus far. Tickets were sold through the students and parents of the class, or at various locations with the car on display on the weekends. The class raised just under $6,000 on the car raffle. The money raised will go toward senior activities. Working together successfully has definitely boosted the spirits of the students.

Lisbon High School’s Class of 2006 would like to thank John Crafts Auto Sales for donating a 1997 V.W. Jetta to the class and to area businesses that helped make our fundraiser such a massive success. The Class’s biggest and most successful fundraiser yet has ended, generating enough profit to put the class within arms reach of our intended two-year goal.

The drawing for the lucky winner was held at a spaghetti dinner/karaoke night hosted by the class. The grandson of David Crafts drew the winning ticket. The winner was Josh Neagle of Lisbon Falls and also a member of the class.

As the school year starts to wind down, and the Class of 2006 reflects back on the efforts and fundraising that was done this past year we would like to say thank you to the following area businesses that supported us this year. Thank you to Midtown Shopping Center, Lisbon Fuel Company, Xtra Mart, MT Pools, Lisbon Village Getty, Rooper’s, Miller’s Variety, Hairs Too You, First Choice Printing, Shaw’s, and Auburn Wal-Mart. Also a very special thank you to the people of the community for your generous support for the Class of 2006. We couldn’t have come this far without you.
