SALEM, N.J. – Eunice Delphina Salls, 90, of Salem, N.J., died in New Jersey Wednesday, April 27.

She was born in Locke Mills, Jan. 9, 1915, the fourth of six daughters born to George and Mable Salls. She was educated in local schools and graduated from Woodstock High School, Class of 1932 as salutatorian.

She put herself through Providence Bible Institute, had worked in New Hampshire, held Bible clubs in the Kentucky Mountains and in Zanesville, Ohio.

At the request of a church which supported her in New Jersey, she moved there to help them. While there, Dot Butler was very good to her, furnishing a home and helping in many other ways. She was like a sister to her. We appreciated all she did, since we could not be there for her. Eunice was ill for many years and Dot was there for whatever she needed.

We rejoice that Eunice is now free from her weak body and is with the Lord.

She is survived by three sisters, Hazel (Salls) Ford of Mechanic Falls, Avis (Salls) Ellingwood of South Paris and Rita Salls, a retired missionary, of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Gladys Ellingwood and Maude Newell; and a nephew.
