LEWISTON – Madeleine Beaulieu, the new tour guide for the Lewiston Senior Citizens, has begun to organize trips.

On Thursday, May 19, a trip to “Best of Times Country Western Extravaganza” in Massachusetts will be held, leaving the Multi-Purpose Center at 8 a.m. and returning at 6 p.m.

The group will attend a Country Jubilee (a six-piece country band). They perform traditional country music. A noon meal will consist of stuffed chicken breast or baked haddock, vegetable, potato, dessert and beverage. Cost is $69 a person.

Those who wish to attend should register and give a deposit at the Lewiston Senior Citizens’ office between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Center. Deposits of $20 will be accepted until May 6, with final payment due May 16. All are welcome.

On Saturday, June 18, a group will head to Boston for a Spirit of Boston cruise and lobster buffet. The bus will leave the Multi-Purpose Center at 8 a.m., head for Boston’s seaport district and step aboard the Spirit of Boston for an afternoon of cruising.

The bus will stop to shop at Quincy Market, weather permitting, on the return. If the weather is showery, it will go to Fox Run Mall in New Hampshire, returning around 6:30 p.m. All are welcome. Cost is $79. Deposits of $20 will be accepted until May 11, with final payment due June 1. To register, visit the Lewiston Senior Citizens’ Office.
