LEWISTON – Paving work in the downtown area next week will force the closure of a major street, and police are advising motorists to plan for new routes.

Cedar Street will be closed for at least three days beginning May 9. In addition, the road will be closed again at the end of the month as workers put down a final surface.

Police advise that motorists should expect delays in the downtown area during those periods.
