NORTH ANSON — Jillian Kimball scattered two hits over five innings to lead Telstar to a 21-0 romp over Carrabec in MVC softball action Monday.
The Rebels (4-0) broke the game open with 11 runs in the fourth inning. Liz Rosenberg and Kayla Mills keyed the uprising with consecutive two-run singles.
Rosenberg finished with three hits, including a double, and drove in four runs. Josie Reiss and Jocelyn Belanger each chipped in with a triple.
Kristina Earl and Kylie Hebert had the only hits for the Cobras (0-4).
Jay 3, Hall-Dale 0
FARMINGDALE – Bri Loon pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out 16 to carry Jay to a 3-0 victory over Hall-Dale.
Loon also went 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for the Tigers (5-0). Natasha Hebert and Desire Stonguay each had RBI singles for Jay.
Hall-Dale’s only hits came from starting pitcher Julia Nyitray.
Cony 3, Lewiston 1
AUGUSTA – Amanda Mason two-run single in the third proved to be the winning hit in a 3-1 decision over Lewiston in KVAC softball action.
Mason’s hit scored Nicole Fecteau and Molly Hopkins to give the Rams a 3-0 cushion. Monica White went the distance, striking out 10 and allowing just four hits for Cony (3-1).
Lewiston’s (2-2) lone run came in the sixth when Ali Coleman hit a single that scored Allie Morin.
Brunswick 1, EL 0
BRUNSWICK – McKell Barnes outlasted Katelyn Chamberlain in a classic pitcher’s duel as Brunswick nipped Edward Little 1-0.
Whitney Thurlow scored the winning run for the Dragons (4-0) when Jess Timmreck walked with the bases loaded in the final inning.
Red Eddies (1-3) pitcher Chamberlain had given up a pair of hits in the second inning and rationed another two over the next five scoreless innings.
Falmouth 4, Poland 0
POLAND — Ilene Brandeis pitched a no-hitter to lead Falmouth to a 4-0 victory over Poland.
Brandeis struck out four and walked three batters for the Yachtsmen (3-1). Sarah Capozza provided the offense, knocking a two-run double in the fourth inning.
Brianna Pratt was saddled with the loss for the Knights (4-1).
Lisbon 15, Mt. Abram 7
LISBON FALLS – Nicky Strople had three hits and three RBIs, while Belle Mathieu also drove in three runs to lead Lisbon to a 15-7 victory over Mt. Abram.
Lisbon scored seven runs in the fifth and finished with 17 hits. Jen Hogan added three hits and a pair of RBIs, and Kelley Campbell hit a two-run double for the Greyhounds (3-2).
Mt. Abram’s Katie Walker had two hits, including a double.
Monmouth 12, Boothbay 0
BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Jill Armstrong pitched seven innings of one-hit ball to lead Monmouth to an easy 12-0 triumph over Boothbay.
Armstrong rung up 11 batters on strikes while walking seven to earn her second win of the season for the Mustangs (2-1). Alex Gauthier had two hits, including a two-run double, while Chelsey Grant, Moe Beaulieu, and Katie Woodman also had a pair of hits.
Starter Erika Landry gave up seven runs in four innings and was the pitcher of record in the loss by the Seahawks (0-2).
Buckfield 5, Richmond 4
BUCKFIELD – Shannon Ridge scampered across home plate on a passed ball in the eighth inning to lift Buckfield to a 5-4 victory over Richmond in softball action Monday.
The Bucks (2-0) were trailing 3-1 in the seventh when Kasey Farrington led off with a triple and Alyssa Henderson singled to tie the game.
The Bobcats (3-1) regained the lead in the top of the eighth, but Buckfield came back with a walk by Lindsey Neal and a single by Shannon Ridge. Neal scored on a wild pitch to again tie the game. After another walk, Ridge scored on a passed ball for the win.
Madison 10, Dirigo 1
MADISON — Sarah Smith held Dirigo to four hits and one earned run over seven innings to give Madison a 10-1 victory.
Smith did not walk anyone and struck out four batters to earn the win for the Bulldogs (5-0).
Ashley Marandola sparked the offense with three RBIs, included two on a key single in the second inning that chased Dirigo starting pitcher Katie Hutchinson from the game.
Hutchinson struck out one batter and walked seven for the Cougars (1-3).
Maranacook 8, Oak Hill 0
WALES – Katie Norwood launched a pair of home runs to lead Maranacook to an 8-0 blanking of Oak Hill in KVAC softball action Monday.
Kristen Eaton went 2-for-3 to record both of the Raiders (1-3) hits.
The Black Bears (4-0) received superb pitching from Abby Pullen, who notched her fourth win of the season. Pullen’s first home run was a two-run blast in the second inning, and her second round a solo shot in the seventh.
St. Dom’s 19, Freeport 7
AUBURN — Danielle Jaimeson struck out seven hitters to notch a victory in her first varsity game as St. Dom’s cruised to a 19-7 triumph over Freeport in WMC softball action Monday.
Jaimeson went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to help the Saints (3-0) put the game out of reach. Emily Goss also homered and drove in three runs for St. Dom’s while Elisha Dorso went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Cassandra Dyer led the Falcons’ (0-4) with two hits and three runs.
Georges Valley 16, Livermore Falls 4
THOMASTON — Heather Watts went all six innings for Georges Valley in a 16-4 victory over Livermore Falls.
Watts was supported by an offense that produced 13 hits and 16 runs, scoring at least one run in every inning.
Sarah Hamilton and Whitney McDaniel had two hits each for the Andies (1-4).
Hebron 13, Pine Tree 1
HEBRON – Hebron scored 11 runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-run homer by Katherine Cole, as Hebron defeated Pine Tree Academy 13-1.
Cole also hit a triple in the same inning. Megan Irving hit two doubles for Hebron. Pitcher Sarah Irish went the distance, striking out eight to pick up the win.
