It is pathetic to see the extremes of the GOP leadership these days. Our elected representatives voted on our behalf in approving the governor’s budget. And now a handful of Republican obstructionists want to override their vote by creating a “people’s veto”? Their time would be better spent tending to the future of the people rather than going back because they don’t like the vote. Talk about spoilsports.

And in D.C., GOP leadership has the sick and silly temerity to say that those who believe the filibuster to be a proper instrument to cause deeper reflection are somehow attacking religion. This is just perverted nonsense and an attempt to manipulate people by playing on their emotions. I’ve lost any respect I may have had for the Republican Party.
