TAUNTON, Mass. – Ralph A. Couillard, 76, of Middleboro, Mass., died Wednesday, May 4, at Morton Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

He was the husband of the late Lucille (LaChance) Couillard, who passed away in 2002.

Born in Lewiston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Yvonne Prahan Couillard.

He was a retired foreman for the Checon Co. in Taunton, where he had been employed for more than 30 years.

He was a past member of the Eagles of Middleboro, and also the Middleboro Lodge of Elks.

He enjoyed the greyhounds, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro.

He is survived by one son, Maurice R. Couillard, of Shirley, Mass.; one daughter, Jeanne N. Samson, of Middleboro, Mass.; one brother, Peter Couillard, of Maine; three sisters, Mary Jane Couillard of Maine, Estelle Loubier of Sabattus and Georgette Pelletier of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Leila Laura of Florida and Jeanie A. Laura of Pawtucket, R.I.; two great-grandchildren, Alyza and Ivelisse Martinez, both of Pawtucket, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.
