EAST POLAND – The wedding of Emmy A. Andersson and Zachary “Zakk” W. Maher was held in the afternoon on Jan. 1. Kelly McMorran, Esq., officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Leif and Yvonne Andersson of Gothenburg, Sweden. The bridegroom is the son of Will and Linda Maher of East Poland.
The couple walked hand in hand to a wooded clearing. The bride wore an ivory brocade cap with ice blue bead accents and the bridegroom wore a cloister brown cap with gold braid trim.
Nicole Cameron, friend, was maid of honor and Dan Flynn, friend, was best man.
The couple exchanged matching bracelets presented by the bridegroom’s older brother, George Ciccariello Maher. A reception followed at the home of the bridegroom’s parents, after which the couple traveled to Vermont. A trip to Sweden is planned in the near future. The couple is residing in East Poland.
The bride is a graduate of Sigrid Rudebeck High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Green Mountain College in Vermont.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Hebron Academy in Hebron and is a junior at Green Mountain College in Vermont. He will be concentrating on his independent study for graduation.
