PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Olive C. Williams, 81 of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and formerly of Bethel, died in Florida, on May 7, at her daughter’s residence.

She was born in Locke Mills on Dec. 25, 1923, the daughter of Joel and Lula (Downs) Merrill and was educated in local schools.

She worked at the Bethel Inn for more than 30 years in housekeeping. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by one daughter, Irene Standish of Pembroke, Fla.; one brother, Kenneth Merrill of West Paris; one sister, Beatrice Bean of West Paris; and one grandson, Mohamed Mohamed.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Williams; brothers, Floyd, Harold, Herman, Lincoln, Earl and Guy; and sisters, Helen, Ruth, Eva, Nellie and Josephine.
