SALEM – The Mt. Abram Coed Summer Soccer Camp, for those ages 12-15, is scheduled for July 25-29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Camp cost is $50 for SAD 58 students and $75 for non-SAD 58 students.

Grid combine slated

WORCESTER, Mass. – The 16th annual Atlantic High School Football Combine is slated for Saturday, May 14 at Worcester State College.

This event is designed for high school grid prospects who are seeking to play college football.

Representatives from northeast colleges will be attending to recruit the Class of 2006. More information is available by calling (508) 376-1250.

Tennis event scheduled

BRUNSWICK – The second annual Great Maine Tennis Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 11 at Bowdoin College.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Farley Field House outdoor tennis courts.

It is sponsored by the Mid-Coast Maine Tennis Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport. There is no cost.

The Festival is designed for any level player, from complete novice to the experienced. There will be assorted activities for youngsters, prizes and exhibitions.

Lamour wins bout

BOSTON, Mass. – Portland Boxing Club member Russell Lamour, a middleweight, avenged an earlier loss that took place at the Northeastern Championship last fall by winning a unanimous decision over Justin Roberts of Haverhill at the F1 Boston Annual Fund-Raiser.

In other bouts involving Portland Boxing Club members, welterweight Nick Stevens of Oakalnd took a unanimous decision over Chad McAulliff of Bangor, and superlightweight J.G. Hernandez of Portland, dropped a close decision to Josh Flynn of Laconia, N.H.
