FARMINGTON – Jeanne Joyce Hebert, 59, a resident of Livermore, died Monday, May 9, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Oct. 24, 1945, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Thomas R. and Jean Joyce Smith and attended schools in Buffalo, N.Y., and Melbourne, Fla.

On March 17, 1962, she married Oscar X. Hebert in Cocoa Beach, Fla. They made their home and raised their family in Livermore. She was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother all of her life.

She had a tremendous heart and was always willing to help those less fortunate than herself. She was a champion for causes like the Shoe Workers of Maine, Easter Seals and the American Heart Association.

She is survived by her husband of Livermore; two sons, Oscar “Tim” Hebert of Rhode Island and Thomas E. Hebert of Livermore; a daughter, Lucinda Ryder of Livermore; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
