BATH – May Arts in the Park will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, in Library Park. Festivities will begin with the sound of the Highland bagpipes calling dancers to the Maypole.

May Arts in the Park is an outgrowth of the May pole dance that Sharon Pyne of Bath Dance Works has led in Bath for several years.

This year’s event will include four hours of music led by local musicians, including Chris Hall, Clive Tillotson, Doug Protsik, Hugh McGuinness, Sue Hope, Phini Ewing and Sharon Pyne.

Highland Mary Morris Dancers will perform at 11:30 and 12:30 p.m.

Many hands-on art workshops are planned, and there will be three chances to join in dancing and weaving ribbons around the Maypole, at 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m.

Art-making activities will be ongoing throughout the festival.
