LEWISTON – Ali Coleman went 3-for-4 with a triple and a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to lift Lewiston past Mt. Ararat 13-5 in a KVAC softball matchup on Friday.

Amanda Michaud went the distance, giving up six hits and striking out 14 to record her fifth victory of the season. Kim Bechard had two hits, including an RBI triple for the Blue Devils (5-5).

Jay 10, Lisbon 1

JAY – Kaylee Demillo went 4-for-4 with two triples and two RBIs as Jay (10-0) remains undefeated with a 10-1 win against Lisbon on Friday.

Jay’s starting pitcher Bree Loon pitched a complete-game two-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Desire Castonguay had two hits, including a double and an RBI, while Lonn had three hits and two RBIs for the Tigers.

Lisbon’s only run came in the top of the fourth when Belle Mathieu knocked in Siohban Riodan.

Telstar 12, Boothbay 0

BETHEL – Jillian Kimball pitched a perfect game with six strikeouts as Telstar crushed Boothbay 12-0 in a softball contest on Friday.

Liz Rosenberg and Abby Hutchins each hit two-run doubles for Telstar (6-2). Telstar’s Kayla Mills had two hits and a pair of RBIs while Rosenberg and Kimball each had triples.

Mt. Abram 3, Georges Valley 2

SALEM – Pitcher Katie Walker helped her own cause by bunting in Morgan Cummings for the walk-off run as Mt. Abram edged Georges Valley 3-2 in MVC softball action Friday.

The Roadrunners (8-3) scored the first run of the contest in the second inning, but the Buccaneers (6-2) collected a pair of runs in the sixth inning to take a short-lived 2-1 lead.

With one out and runners on second and third, Ashley Geel hit one back to the pitcher. Katie Walker initiated a run-down with Juliette Laaka, but the effort went awry and two runners scored.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Logahn Walker singled to provide life for Mt. Abram. She advanced to second and third on a passed ball and wild pitch, before beating the throw to home plate on a Sadie White bunt for the tying run.

Skowhegan 9, Oxford Hills 0

SKOWHEGAN – Mariah Daigle tossed 13 strike outs as Skowhegan blanked Oxford Hills 9-0 in KVAC softball action on Friday.

The Vikings (8-3) gave up eight runs in the first inning before settling down. Whitney Fortier collected three hits for the Indians.

Lacrosse

Lincoln 15, EL 9

AUBURN – Kristy Hammond scored five goals to carry Lincoln Academy to a 15-9 victory over Edward Little in girls’ lacrosse action on Friday.

Carlie Williams tallied four goals while Amanda Wagers, Norah Bradford and Mae Ciampa each scored a pair of goals.

Dani Martineau scored five goals and Liv Welch had three for Edward Little (2-4)

Lewiston 13, Messalonskee 3

LEWISTON – Kelsey Varney lit the pilot and scored a hat trick to lead Lewiston to a 13-3 win over Messalonskee in KVAC girls’ lacrosse action Friday.

The Eagles (2-4) scored three goals right out of the gate. Jenna Lettenburger notched two, while Heather Doolittle tallied one.

The Blue Devils (5-2) responded with 13 unanswered goals to improve their winning streak to four. Mallory Long collected a hat trick, while Caitlin Anthoine, Marina MacDonald and Luca Jacobsen recorded two goals apiece in the win.

Scarborough 16, Oxford Hills 4

SOUTH PARIS – Jess Baker tallied a game-high five goals to lead Scarborough to a 16-4 win over Oxford Hills in girls’ lacrosse on Friday.

Lauren Hageman netted three goals and also had an assist for Scarborough (5-1).

Scarborough also received a pair of goals from Caitlin Albert, Amy Brigham and Brittany White. Oxford Hills (3-5) was led by Amy Mckeen with three goals.
