I’m writing in regard to Sun Journal photograph that was published on April 10. It was taken in such a way that it left the readers to make harsh judgments against Rev. Doug Taylor, without knowing the true story. I have to applaud the photographer, she no doubt did a great job deceiving the public and bringing embarrassment upon Mr. Taylor.

This was pertaining to an episode of the children’s program, “Postcards from Buster.” The photo was taken at a hearing put on by the Maine Public Broadcasting Network Advisory Board.

I have known Mr. Taylor and his family for over 10 years. This man has gone out on a limb financially, physically and morally for the sake of teaching the inner city children about what the Lord teaches all of us concerning right and wrong, loving others (but not having to love their sin) and to live morally according to God’s ways.

He gives the children hope and love. He nourishes them both physically with food and spiritually with the word of God. He has never, never brought fear or harm to any child. He is a man of strong conviction and of an undying faith in the Lord above. In much of our society today, right is wrong and wrong is right. Mr. Taylor stands strong to teach and live by God’s moral standards. That is the Doug Taylor I know.
