RIVER VALLEY – The River Valley Chamber of Commerce has taken on a program called Adopt-A-Spot. There are spots around the area that could use a green thumb. Applications will be available at area businesses, including the River Valley Chamber of Commerce and Kaynor and Kreckel law office.

Applications are to be returned to Jennifer F. Kreckel, P.O. Drawer L, Rumford ME 04276. Plots will have to be approved by the individual towns before planting and maintenance can be accomplished.

Businesses and individuals participating in the program will be expected to plant and maintain the area, which means weeding, watering and pruning, for the growing season.
