LEWISTON – Mary Arlette Bullis, 82, of Mechanic Falls, died peacefully Friday, May 13, surrounded by all her loved ones at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Princeton, on Sept. 14, 1922, the daughter of Nathaniel and Amelia Beecher Densmore. She graduated from Princeton High School.
During World War II, she was a spot welder in South Portland where she met her husband, the late Donald G. Bullis. After the war, they were married in 1945. Mr. Bullis passed away in March 2004.
She was always interested in music. She taught music in a Christian kindergarten in Milford, N.H., for several years. She gave private piano lessons upon moving to Mechanic Falls, where she was involved in the music program for many years.
She was also an active member of the Pleasant Street Baptist Church in Mechanic Falls. She also was a big part of the musical activities at the church.
She is survived by a son, Donald, of Mechanic Falls; two grandsons, Ryon of Mechanic Falls, and Daniel of Biddeford; and several nieces and nephews.
