LEWISTON – Sharon Heald, 57, of Poland, died Saturday, May 14, at the Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Norway, on May 11, 1948, the daughter of Linwood and Mary Austin Fitts. She was a graduate of Oxford Hills High School.

She worked as a CNA and was a loving mother and housewife.

She was a member of the American Legion in Mechanic Falls.

She loved crafts, traveling, and mining.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Reece of Oxford, Sirena Goddard of Poland, and Cheryl Pressey-Lash of Damariscotta; a son, Thomas Fitts of Poland; a brother, Dale Fitts of Poland; a sister, Sandy Lawrence of Auburn; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
