4:30 p.m. Votive Mass with music honoring the Dominican Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart

7 p.m. Solemn evening prayer with Bishop Richard Malone, followed by a reception

Saturday, May 21

9:15 a.m. Lecture by Earle Shettleworth Jr., director of the Maine Historic Preservation Commission, on the architecture of Maine’s Catholic churches with emphasis on Saints Peter and Paul – held in the Dominican Conference Room.

10:30-12:30 p.m. Open house with guided tours

7:30 p.m. Semi-formal concert with the basilica choir featuring soloists Jennifer McCleod, Denis St. Pierre, Robert Bott, Leon Griesbach and Amy Vice, the Norumbega Brass Ensemble and music director and organist Scott Vaillancourt on the Casavant organ

Sunday, May 22

5 p.m. Basilica Inauguration Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated by Bishop Richard Malone. The Basilica Coat of Arms, the tintinabulum and the ombrellino will also be unveiled

7 p.m. Banquet at the Ramada Inn

Noon concerts are free, though donations are welcome. There is a $10 admission for the Saturday evening concert and banquet tickets are $30. Tickets for both events are available at the Pastoral Center. Saturday evening concert tickets may also be purchased at the door.
