LIVERMORE – Budget Committee members are recommending a proposed $860,153 municipal spending plan that doesn’t include about $20,000 in items voters will have a chance to consider on June 16.

Livermore selectpersons will review budget figures and set their recommendations for 2005-06 during a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, May 23, at the town office, town Administrative Assistant Kurt Schaub said Monday.

He added that the Budget Committee chose not to make recommendations on requests for $10,000 for cemetery capital improvements, which would be offset by a $3,000 grant; $8,715 for matching funds to leverage a $174,315 grant for training, improvements to the fire station, and equipment for the Fire Department; and $1,222 for Area Youth Sports liability insurance.

The committee stayed under the $895,568 tax cap limit as projected by the state, Schaub said.

Last year, taxpayers raised $867,126 for the municipal operations, not including the town’s share of SAD 36 and Androscoggin County assessments.
