KINGFIELD – An advance sale of tickets has begun for the third annual Kingfield POPS with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra to be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at the Kennedy Farm on Route 142.

The family event will feature the Western Mountain Trash Can Band, the BSO instrument petting zoo, the No Frowns Clowns, family activities and a selection of vendors, including food.

Kingfield POPS and Bangor Symphony Orchestra present an evening of familiar and patriotic music for the whole family. This year’s event will feature a talented local soloist. The evening will close with a fireworks display.

In collaboration with the Bangor Symphony, the Kingfield POPS events are directed by local residents and supported by local donors and businesses to bring the annual performance to the Kingfield/Farmington area.

The POPS Committee has made a commitment to donate a portion of the proceeds of the 2005 concert to School Administrative Districts 58 and 9 to enhance the music programs in the schools.
