LEWISTON – Police are asking motorists to avoid the area of Sabattus Street and Central Avenue over the next few days because of construction.

Today and Friday, crews will be working in that area, causing lane closings, delays and one-way traffic controlled by flaggers.

The project is expected to continue on both days between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
