They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The picture of Rev. Douglas Taylor and the 11-year-old boy (April 10) was not a fair depiction.

Rev. Doug and his wife have been running the Jesus Party for the past decade. Rev. Doug’s work is powerful, kind, nurturing, enriching, fun and good for the soul.

Children are excited to see Rev. Doug and his wife each and every week. The children look forward to the Jesus Party on Friday evenings. For many children, the Jesus Party is their only reprieve from the rough world.

Rev. Doug is a positive role model. He is far from aggressive or threatening to any child, as the picture is trying to say. It is heartbreaking and sickening to see such a picture.

Many may accuse Rev. Doug of judging others; however, that picture has portrayed a negative judgment on him.
