FARMINGTON – The Sandy River Players will present “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” by Adam Long Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield

Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. May 20 and 21, with a 2 p.m. matinee May 22, at Alumni Theatre on the University of Maine at Farmington campus.

The presentation stars Mount Blue High School English teachers Matt Finch, John Logan and Dan Ryder in all the key roles. Combining slapstick, farce, comedia dell arte, rap and a football game, the play presents a current, hip and usually zany slant to the centuries-old plays.

The production is directed by English teacher Deborah Muise, but it involves improvisation.

Tickets: $8.50 for students and seniors, $10 for adults. They will be available before the show at Howard’s Rexall on Main Street.
