On May 16, the Auburn city manager and the Auburn school superintendent presented the manager’s and the school committee’s fiscal year 2005-06 budgets to a public hearing before a joint meeting of the City Council and the School Committee. No reporter and no photographer from the Sun Journal were present.

Fortunately, citizens who wish to be informed may access the city or the school department Web sites or watch City Council meetings on cable television.
