The Poland School Committee, in deciding to purchase a generator switch after citizens voted down the expenditure, did nothing out of the ordinary. After the voters speak, they will do what they want.
Why bother to vote?
This goes back to the building of the new high school; all kinds of things were voted down then.
Take a walk around the school now and see things that were said “no” to and, surprise, surprise, they have appeared. But have no fear, nothing has gone wrong.
Even Morse Brothers said it would be a good neighbor. But it turns all night and keeps the neighborhood awake with its noise.
Where is the board that is going to take care of that?
